What Does She Have?

I have a Dog. My Dog is one of the most precious, most lovable, most slobbery and most energetic things on this planet.

The Dog
I also have a Cat. The cat and I aren't exactly sure how we feel about each other.

The Monster... I mean The Cat

I have the heart of a child, and an apparent obsession with all things sparkly. I love Disney, I love Judy Garland and the Wizard of Oz, I love Katy Perry, I love Winnie-the-Pooh and I love Scooby-Doo. I will buy something in the shops, no matter how far away it is from pay day, if it has something to do with Scooby-Doo.

I have been blessed with wonderful friends - all with there own gifts and talents; abilities and disabilities (do not ask Rebecca for directions. She is highly disabled in that area). You will definitely read more about my friends throughout my blog.

I have a love for my work that you can read about here.

I have left-sided hemiparesis and aphasia. I have been diagnosed in the past with Hemiplegic Migraines, with complicating aphasia as well as episodic ataxia. During a Hemiplegic Migraine, I have hemiplegia on my left side and am unable to walk/unable to use my left arm. I am also unable to speak. When I am not having an episode, my aphasia is managed and my hemiparesis is noticeable, but wavers in severity. I use medication, an AAC, sign language and wonderful friends to help me through life. It is all a journey at the moment: through diagnoses, through treatment, through causes...

I have a lot of dreams and goals... I don't see any reason why I won't achieve any that I really put my mind to.
